1. Get your photos ready
- Lay several printed photos on a flat, solid-colored surface.
- Leave a little space between each one — no touching or overlapping.
- Remove shiny sleeves or album plastic to avoid glare.
2. Set the scene with good lighting
Good lighting = great scans.
- Natural light (like near a window) works best.
- Avoid harsh lamps or direct sunlight.
- Check that no shadows fall from your hands or your phone.
3. Open the scanner
Let’s get scanning:
- Open the Photomyne app.
- Tap Scan New Album or enter an existing album and tap Scan.
- Hold your phone steady over all the photos — like you’re taking a group picture.
4. Capture all photos in one go
Now the fun part:
- Make sure all photos fit in your camera view.
- Hold your phone parallel to the surface (straight above, not tilted).
- Tap the Capture button.
- The app will automatically crop and save each photo separately — no extra work needed.
5. Check your results
Once your scans are in the album:
- Tap each photo to review it.
- If one looks off or cropped strangely, use the Edit icon to manually adjust the crop.
Note: If a photo was scanned but is missing from the album, tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the album screen and select Edit original scan shots. There, you can view all original scans and tap a missed photo to crop it.
6. Tips for picture-perfect scans
A few handy tricks:
- Adjust your distance to fill the frame while keeping the image in focus.
- If you see glare, tilt the phone slightly or adjust your angle.
- Use a surface that contrasts with your photos.
- Flatten curled edges for clearer detection.
