Beach games
"My mother, Susan Lowe, went to school at Gardenhurst School in Burnham on Sea, Somerset in the late 1940s. Sadly she died at the end of August this year at 84. The girls in this photo used to play hockey on the beach at Burnham but had to mark out a new pitch every day as the tide washed away the lines every night! She is standing in the back row 4th from the left. Her funeral took place 9th September 2021 and this photo was on show at the wake in Cambridge."
