You'll be hard-pressed looking for a more influential comedian than Mary Tyler Moore. Born on this day in 1936, Moore would go on to win seven Emmys for her work on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Dick Van Dyke Show among others.

Found on the farm
This is my Great Great Aunt Lola. She was born in 1873 and lived what I imagine was a pretty great life until she was 104! I remember my mom sharing stories of visiting the Merrick farm when she was a child. Her husband passed in 1932 and I believe she lived on the farm with the rest of the family after that (and the flowers are definitely from the farm). This photo - as well as many others I received from my grandmother after she passed. The pictures help put faces to all the names in the family tree!
