On this day
Far and away beyond sleep
111 years ago - on February 8, 1911 - the wonderful poet Elizabeth Bishop was born. Her poems (and poetry in general) are often like photography and speak directly to our hearts.

Treasuring memories
“I don’t know much about this photo, other than that the man is my grandfather. It was sent with a Christmas card to my mother who suffers from dementia, hoping that an old photo would help her remember years past. She recognized her father but did not know who the child was. I think it may be one of my grandfather’s great-nephews. I love your app. When we had to clear out my mum’s house, we found many photos and loaded quite a few onto your app, and I often show them to Mum who can sometimes remember things in the past.”
