Let's take a moment of recognition for the American novelist Toni Morrison who would've turned 91 last week (born February 18, 1931). We, unfortunately, lost her 2.5 years ago. She was the first black woman to win a Nobel Prize in Literature and was an inspiration to many.

“My mother took this photo on New Year’s Day, 1960. My parents hosted a family celebration in our home near Delano, Minnesota. Pictured are my cousins Linnea and Richard, my brother Bob, and myself. I still remember what a fun day we all had together! My mom loved taking photos at family events, and I found this photo in one of her albums. I love scanning and sharing these old photos with my family.”
