[A] Set up the light pad - place it on a flat surface and plug it into a USB power source using the provided cable to turn it on.
[B] Place the photo slides or film negatives on the light pad, so the images become brighter, and they are properly lit.
[C1] For scanning photo slides: even though you can place several photo slides on the light pad, we recommend scanning them one by one. With the SlideScan app open on your phone (scanner screen), hold your phone right above the photos (keep it face up, parallel to the photo slides), and capture the closes possible scan of the image inside the photo slide's frame.
[C2] For scanning film negatives: Place a filmstrip on the light pad. With the FilmBox app open on your phone (scanner screen), hold your phone right above one of the negative images while making sure the side perforations match the markings in the app. Capture the closes possible scan of the image, and see how the app automatically inverts and enhances the scanned film. Repeat the same process for the rest of the images in that filmstrip.
