We know that it can also be a hassle to go through hundreds of photos in search of a special selection of them. Fortunately, you can easily sort your photos for convenient searching and sub-categorizing by simply attaching details to your photos.
An easy way to quickly find photos with a common theme
From the app’s home screen, you can search for any detail you’ve added to a photo such as manually added photo descriptions or scanned photo text, dates, locations, and face-tagged people saved to a photo. The more specific you get, the easier it will be to instantly find multiple photos with a common theme from within your entire collection (i.e. locating every photo with the name ‘Michael’, or all the photos from 1972, etc.)
How to apply the same details to multiple photos at the same time
To segment your photos into sub-categories, start by adding the same details or keywords to multiple photos by either adding details to each individual photo, or by selecting and adding details to multiple photos at once. Tap Search or select photos at the top of your home screen to edit multiple photos at once. Choose all of the photos to which you’d like to add details, and hit Edit. Once you’ve added the details for your selected photos, press the checkmark icon to save. Please note that your new details will override any existing details.
Now that your photos are tagged, tap ‘Search or select photos’ and type your desired details in the search bar to browse your new sub-category. You’ll instantly see the results below so you can then edit, share, save, and create slideshows and collages as you’d like. You can also move these photos to another album or create a new album (removing them from their original location).
Your photos will now be easily searchable by the sub-categories created from your photo details. We hope this helps make organizing and browsing your photos that much easier so you can enjoy them to the fullest.
