November 26, 1971 This is a picture of my mom and dad on their wedding day in Corpus Christi, Texas. Mom passed away in 2016 and dad just passed away last week. This was a photo that my mom gifted to me many years ago for a few reasons: 1) I am also in the photo because mom is three months pregnant, and 2) because I LOVE cake! Dad used to reminisce about this cake because it was frosted with one of his favorites, marshmallow frosting. This photo hangs prominently in my living room and I get to see everyday the two young beautiful people who created me. ber 26, 1971 This is a picture of my mom and dad on their wedding day in Corpus Christi, Texas. This photo was taken by their wedding photographer at their reception at the Galvan Ballroom in Corpus Christi. This photo is important to me because it’s a beautiful representation of the new life that my parents were starting together in 1971. My parents went on to raise four successful children, two of whom are doctors of music. It’s hard knowing they are not with us on this earth. But I am comforted knowing that they had a wonderful life together.

This iconic shot was taken by me in my mid-childhood: Vacant stone skeet-shooting cottage in the wilds of what is now known as north of Wildwood Park, San Bernardino, California, c. 1966, taken with my Mom's vintage Hawkeye (sans flash) Kodak Brownie camera.
